Shooters of high birds know August 12th is the start of the British driven shooting season. It’s the time when family and friends gather together to celebrate a tradition of pheasant hunting that has endured the test of time. Join us for a series of Continental hunts reminiscent of the Edwardian period which is the Golden Era of shooting.
Our safety orientation begins mid-morning followed by a 1,500 bird release. Twenty-four shooters rotate between our 12 shooting pegs and 13th peg warming station. Two shooters man each station with a retriever and handler standing by to assist.
Each presentation is special; wind and sky make magic as you perfect your leads while pheasants race overhead from the Northeast’s tallest wing shooting tower, some 210’ above the lowest station. Between pegs is a brief and scenic walk filled with the conversations of great shots and the ones that got away. Sportsmen and women will be challenged by every angle and distance of shot.
Dinners are classics; menus might include a filet and lobster combination, mini bison meatballs, roasted pheasant with endive and a Scotch and cigar pairing afterwards.
While every year is different, typically we offer a Season Opener, Holiday Cheer Shoot, Valentine’s Day Hunt, New Year’s Fun Shoot and a Pheasant Season Finale.
